Feh. Not too happy about this one, but I'm gonna call it done for now. It's really a sketch [link] that got out of hand. I guess I liked *Pieceofmestock's stock so much I wanted to do something more with it, but I fear I didn't quite do her justice.

Used some textures from *Smoko-Stock too.

I'm happy you finished it! I was wondering when it would be completed. I think this has a very eerie feel to it (obviously). Is there an idea or story behind this? :) Well excellent piece, the details in the lamp are incredible. I know what you mean by feeling unfinished, it's great to let it rest for awhile

Dud! Thank you!

Uh, I meant "dude" not "dud"....

Thanks! There really wasn't any story behind the picture when I started it: I just thought "Ooh, what's she looking at? An open grave would be spine-tingly-dingling." So I worked it up that way. Then a few days later, I find out that the model for the original sketch =Pieceofmestock was in a horrible car accident and no one was sure if she was going to make it. Creepy, right? But it has a happy ending: she was released from the hospital after a couple of months and is expected to recover fully.

I think the piece works very well. That lighting is beautiful.

I think it's insanely beautiful, the setting you gave her makes the piece SO meaningful, I'm absolutely in love with the serene look on her face and the eerie surrounding otherwise :) I really like the title too, it really contributes to the illustration, sort of answering questions about who she might be and why she's there :)
